Recognising and supporting high-achieving students. The new scholarships will be automatically assessed for new JCU students with an ATAR 95+ who are starting their studies with JCU in Study Period One, 2022.
If you completed Year 12 in 2021, and are enrolling at JCU in 2022 (the year immediately following the completion of Year 12), you may be eligible.

The JCU Vice Chancellor's Scholarship is awarded to applicants who achieve an ATAR of 97+. As a recipient of the JCU Vice Chancellor's Scholarship you will receive $40,000 for up to four (4) years of study ($10,000 per year) for a maximum of four years, paid in instalments.
The JCU Deans' Scholarship is awarded to applicants who achieve an ATAR between 95 and 97. As a recipient of the JCU Deans' Scholarship you will receive receive $20,000 for up to four (4) years of study ($5,000 per year) for a maximum of four years, paid in instalments.
In addition to the financial support, recipients of both scholarships will have access to development and enrichment opportunities including mentoring and Continuing Professional Development.
Eligibility: Be commencing full-time study at JCU in any bachelor’s degree in Semester 1, 2022. (excluding Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science).
* The census date is the day each semester when your enrolment is finalised.
There is no application required for these scholarships. Both the JCU Vice Chancellor's Scholarship and the JCU Deans' Scholarship are automatically assessed. If you meet the criteria you will be notified at the time of offer.
